IT HAPPENS! PETS GET LOOSE!
Join us Sunday, August 13th at PetSmart in Baytown for our #ChipToSave Microchip and Adoption Event!
Throughout the year, we offer residents in our community with the opportunity to participate in free microchipping events! A microchip is a permanent ID for your pet; it cannot fall off, weather or be removed. A microchip that is registered and up to date with accurate contact information can save your pet's life! Through our partnerships with local veterinarians, we administer and register microchips at these sponsored events at no or low cost to the resident. We offer this unique opportunity to 1) help owners recover their lost pet, 2) decrease the number of pets being killed in local shelters, 3) free up kennel space in local shelters for animals that are truly homeless, 4) decrease the amount of tax-payer's money spent on euthanasia, and 5) decrease the chances of an owner's stolen pet from being "re-homed" or sold.
MICROCHIP DETAILS: A total number of 100 microchips will be available at this event on a first come, first serve basis. The first 10 will be absolutely FREE! It is important for all participants to arrive by 10AM to receive a number at the door that will serve as your voucher for a free microchip. No pre-registration requirements. No city residency requirements. Cat and/or dogs are welcome. Dogs must be on a leash or in a carrier. Cats must be in a carrier. Limit of 2 pets per person.
ADOPTION DETAILS: Come out and meet and greet with some of our adoptables! They're looking for a purrfect furever home! You can view photos and read more about our available adoptables, where you can also complete an adoption application if you're interested in adopting. The animals that we have at our adoption events change every time! If you're interested in a specific dog or cat, please complete the adoption application and we can coordinate the attendance of that dog or cat at our next event! You can also e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire about our adoption program and available adoptables, or if you have any other questions about adopting!
