Successful adoptions in 2016
In 2016, we saved over 100 lives, forever changing the futures of these pets and their families.
Successful Adoptions in 2015
More than 30 cats and dogs that were once homeless are now living their lives in safe and loving homes.
The majority of the animals that we have helped save would have had less than a 50% chance of survival at the local municipal shelters due to being classified as "unadoptable"! Reasons why some traditional shelters decide to euthanize "unadoptable" animals, rather than saving: Being elderly (typically more than 7 years old), having a treatable medical condition, having a treatable injury, being a member of certain "aggressive" breeds, being malnourished, being in the shelter for more than 5 days (typical holding period before euthanasia, regardless of having open space or being able to place the animal in a space with another animal), or being "untrainable" or "anti-social" (when in reality the dog may be scared, nervous, uncomfortable, threatened, or mistreated, all of which can be common in "less than accommodating" traditional shelters). Adoptable is a term we use to describe the animals in our program. Adoptable is what these animals are, and adopted is what they were.
